About mbti-test.me
mbti-test.me is an independent project with one goal: to give everyone, everywhere, a free, honest and enjoyable way to explore their personality type — in their own language.
Why we built it
Most free personality tests either hide the useful part behind a paywall or are so long that people give up. We wanted a test that is short enough to finish on a phone, logical enough to trust, and followed by a complete profile that is actually free.
How the test works
- 48 original statements, 12 for each preference pair (E/I, S/N, T/F, J/P).
- Balanced wording: half of the statements point to one side, half to the other, so simply agreeing with everything does not push you toward one type.
- 7-point scale from "strongly disagree" to "strongly agree", which captures nuance better than yes/no answers.
- Percentages for every pair and a warning when a result is close to the middle.
- Private scoring: answers are scored in your browser and never sent to our servers.
Editorial principles
Our type profiles and guides are written and reviewed by our editorial team and by native speakers for each language. We describe strengths and blind spots honestly, avoid medical or hiring claims, and explain the limits of type theory in our guide Is MBTI accurate?. When we update content, we change the date at the top of the page.
Independence

Our test is an independent assessment based on the publicly known theory of psychological types.
